Order

How do I place an order on Thousandtravelmiles?

Step 1: Fill the shopping cart
Choose your favourite products in our webshop and add them to your cart. Finished shopping? Click on the shopping basket at the top right and check that all items have been added correctly. Then click on the ‘Checkout’.

Step 2: Checkout
Enter your billing and shipping details. Do you have an account? Then log in first so that your details are filled in automatically. Check everything and click on ‘Place Order’ to complete your purchase.

Step 3: Receiving confirmation
After your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. This will show an overview of your ordered items. Would you like to change or cancel something? As long as your order has not yet been prepared for shipment, you can. Please contact us as soon as possible via email Whether the WhatsApp button.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Yes, you can. As long as your order is still has not been processed or sent. Please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected] or via Whatsapp, then we will see what else is possible.

Which payment methods does ThousandTravelMiles accept?

You can pay safely and conveniently with:

  • iDEAL
  • Credit card (Mastercard, Visa and American Express)
  • Apple Pay
  • Klarna - Pay later
  • Klarna - Pay now
  • Riverty (formerly AfterPay) - Pay afterwards
  • Bancontact (for Belgian customers)

All payment methods are 100% secure and comply with the latest security standards.

How soon will my order be dispatched?

Do you order on a working day before 17:00? Then we will make sure that your order shipped the same day will be! Delivery time within Europe is as follows:

  • Netherlands: 1 working day
  • Belgium and Germany: 2-3 working days

Note: During busy periods, such as public holidays or salary times, processing may take a little longer. We make every effort to process and ship your order as soon as possible.

What to do in case of damaged or incomplete orders?

Of course, we find that very annoying! Send within 72 hours upon receipt an e-mail to [email protected], stating your order number and a clear description of the problem (pictures help us to help you faster!). Together we will find a suitable solution.

How do you protect my personal data?

We handle your data carefully, in full accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). All personal data required to process your order is securely stored and only shared with partners involved in the delivery of your products. Want to know more? Take a look at our Privacy Statement.

Complaint about your order or our service? You can do this

It is of course annoying if you have a complaint about our products or services. We will be happy to help you and find a suitable solution together.

Send your complaint to [email protected] and include your order or invoice number, together with a clear description of the problem. We will do our best to respond substantively to your message within 48 hours.

Not satisfied with the handling of your complaint? Then you can contact the Mediation department of Stichting Webshop Keurmerk, to which we are affiliated. They provide independent help in disputes: www.keurmerk.info/nl/consumenten/klacht

In addition, you can use the European ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) platform, available at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Shipping and delivery

What are the shipping options at ThousandTravelMiles?

For all our shipments, we cooperate with PostNL and DHL, allowing us to guarantee fast and reliable delivery.

Note: Is your order incomplete, damaged or have you received the wrong product? Please let us know within 72 hours after receipt know via [email protected]. After this deadline, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that we can still solve the problem free of charge.

Shipping costs and delivery times

Shipping costs and delivery times vary by country. To give you a clear overview, we have listed everything for you below:

  • Netherlands: Free shipping (Letter post, Letterbox parcel or Standard shipping).
  • Belgium:
    • €0.99 for letter mail
    • €2.99 for standard package
  • Germany:
    • €0.99 for letter mail
    • €2.99 for standard package

During the checkout process, you will see exactly which shipping costs/method apply to your order.

Delivery times:

  • Netherlands: Ordered before 17:00 on working days? Sent tomorrow (*excluding peak times such as public holidays and sale periods).
  • Belgium & Germany: 2-3 working days.

We always do our best to ship your order as soon as possible!

How can I track my order with Track & Trace?

Once your order has left our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail with a Track & Trace code. You can use this code to track your parcel on the shipping party's website. Did you not receive an e-mail? Then please check your spam folder.

Note: Will your order be shipped via letter mail? Then tracking not possible. Your order will state whether this is the case.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes! We currently ship to the following countries:

  • Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Germany

Within the Netherlands, shipping is always free. For Belgium and Germany, small surcharges apply depending on the type of shipment (letter post or parcel post). Do you have specific questions about international shipping? Feel free to mail us via [email protected].

What if my order is delayed?

Is your order later than expected? Then follow these steps:

  1. Check your Track & Trace code via the carrier's website.
  2. See if any delays have been reported.

Still nothing received in 5 working days? Then contact us at [email protected] stating your order number. We will be happy to help you and contact the carrier if necessary.

Do you offer options for delivery to pick-up points or other delivery methods?

Right now, you can (temporarily) not by yourself choose a specific collection point. We are working hard to improve this option as soon as possible, apologies for the inconvenience!

Note: Not all PostNL or DHL locations are official collection points. Therefore, please check carefully whether your chosen location is a official collection point is. Is this not the case and your order goes missing? Then we are forced to start an investigation with the carrier, which unfortunately can take several weeks.

Exchanges and returns

Can I return my order at ThousandTravelMiles?

Not completely satisfied with your order? How sad to hear that! But no worries: at ThousandTravelMiles, you have 30-day cooling-off period from the moment you receive your order. Within this period, you can return your order without giving any reason.

  • Register return: send us an e-mail at [email protected] and use our return form.
  • After return notification: do you still have 14 days time to actually return the product.

Returns can only be made if the item unused is and, if possible, in the original packaging sits.

The costs for the return shipment are for own account and may vary by carrier and country. Always keep the shipping receipt until we have received, processed and refunded your return.

Good to know: We will refund the purchase price via the same payment method you used for your order, at the latest within 7 working days upon receipt of your return.

What is the cooling-off period for returning an order?

After receiving your order, you will have 30 days time to decide whether you are satisfied. Do you register your return within these 30 days? Then you still have 14 days to actually return the product.

Note: Only unused items are eligible for return. If possible, please return in the original packaging.

Do you offer the possibility of exchanging a product?

At present exchange not possible. Would you still like to receive a different item? Then place a new order via our webshop. Please return the unwanted item as described above. Once we have received and approved your return, you will be refunded the purchase price.

Can I exchange or return digital products?

Digital products can unfortunately not be exchanged or returned. According to Article 10 of our General terms and conditions the right of withdrawal is excluded for digital products, as they are available for use and downloading immediately after purchase.

How long does it take to get my money back after returning?

Once we have received your return in good order, we will make sure you receive the purchase price within 7 working days received back. The refund will be made via the original payment method with which you placed the order. So please check your account or payment method carefully.

Review policy

What is your review policy and how are reviews monitored?

At Thousandtravelmiles, reviews come from real customers who have actually bought and used our products. So you can be sure you can rely on honest experiences from others. Our guidelines:

  • Privacy first: We do not post reviews with personal or sensitive data.
  • Language use & moderation: All reviews are checked in advance for spelling and language. Only respectful, clear texts will be posted.
  • Fair view: Both positive and negative reviews are published as long as they meet our guidelines.
  • Relevance: Reviews should really be about the product itself, not about shipping or customer service.
  • No rewards: We do not pay anyone for a review, nor do we give discounts in exchange for feedback.
  • Only from customers: Only customers who have ordered from us can leave a review.
  • No advertising: Reviews with their own promotion, links or references to other websites will not be posted.

We don't post a review if:

  • The review is not about the right product
  • The content is not in Dutch
  • The review contains factual inaccuracies
  • The focus is mainly on price, shipping or service (rather than the product)
  • The review contains promotional content or a URL
  • We suspect the review is not genuine or authentic

How do you collect reviews?

We work with external partners who invite customers to leave a review after their purchase. Only customers who have purchased a ThousandTravelMiles product receive such an invitation. The reviews are displayed per product on our webshop.

How can I write a review?

Writing a review is easy via your account. Follow these steps:

  1. Click on the My account-icon at the top right of the screen
  2. Log in if you already have an account
  3. No account? Create one with your desired username, e-mail address and password
  4. After logging in, you can see your orders and post a review for each product

Note: you can only post a review about a product you have actually bought.

What do you put in a good product review? Tips!

A valuable review includes, for example:

  • Your first impression on arrival
  • Whether the product matches the description on our site
  • Your experience of using the product, think:
    • What did you like about the product?
    • Which function works well?
    • What surprised you positively?
    • How do you use the product in practice?
  • The quality of the material or design
  • Whether the product meets your expectations

Be honest, your opinion helps others tremendously!

Your review helps other travellers make the right choice. You share your experience, tips and insights, which will make both us and future customers very happy. So if you bought something from us, please let us know what you thought of it.
