Travel from Koh Toa to Koh Samui via boat
Koh Tao and Koh Samui are among the most visited islands in Thailand. Koh Samui is a popular sun holiday destination and Koh Tao is known as Thailand's diving destination. The islands are not far from each other, making it quick to travel from Koh Tao to Koh Samui.
So the boat is the only option to cover the distance. There are several boats going each day, from different organisations. These boats leave from Mae Haad Pier (Koh Tao) and arrive at Mae Nam Pier (Koh Samui).
Where to buy my boat tickets from Koh Tao to Koh Samui?
Ticket offices: Tickets can be bought on the pier for around €19 p.p (700 bath).
We opted for the organisation Lomprayah. Here you pay €19 and are taken by speedboat to the next island. We chose this organisation every time.

*€19,- is the average ticket price. The final price depends on the period in which you travel (high or low season) and which organisation you choose.
Tip: Arrange your transfer from the port to the hotel through your hotel. This service is often free on the island!
What are the departure times Koh Tao to Koh Samui?
The boats depart daily at multiple times. Below we give a small overview of the organisation Lompreyah. We recommend you always check these departure times. Stop by the port or ask for departure times at your hotel/hostel.
Most speedboats take about 1.5 hours to take you from Koh Tao to Koh Samui.
