- 2. The Hohenzollernbrücke to Cologne Cathedral: Also known as the Castle Bridge. It is one of the busiest railway and pedestrian bridges in Germany and an iconic structure. This makes it perfect for many types of photography styles.

- 3. The Colourful Buildings of Fischmarkt in the old town of Cologne: You've probably seen this place pass by several times on Instagram. It is hugely touristy and we can understand why! A perfect stop for a drink and immediately a great opportunity to grab your camera.

- 4. The spiral staircase: We came across this cool location on Instagram. It took some searching as this staircase is located in a medical centre but accessible to all.

- 5. Rheinhafen along the Rhine in Cologne: Perfect for photographers looking to add architecture to their portfolio. The combination of old and new makes this an impressive location.
- 6. The Belvedere Bridge in the west of Cologne: If you go to Cologne by car, we recommend stopping here. The bridge still not very well known and this is mainly because it is far from the city centre.

7. The sunflower fields in Gut Clarenhof: Another location that is fairly far from the city centre but is easily accessible by car. This Instagram spot is not well known among tourists and therefore a perfect place to take photos. Just bear in mind the season in which you visit Cologne, we took these photos in early August.
