on-off switch does not work and consequently the other functions do not work either. can only be switched on and off by taking the battery in and out, and then inserting the battery again only gives an occasional flash of light, even though the battery is fully charged and another similar battery has been tried

I have several such lights and bought a couple for the neighbours I hike with. It is bigger and heavier than the one I already had, so be careful if you are looking for this size, it still just fits in jacket pocket. Being able to charge on USB without having to take battery out of lamp is of course very handy, how long it works I don't know yet. However, the rubber cover of the USB port is very loosely attached, you will lose it in no time if you are not careful. I fixed mine with some glue in the hope that this will work. It is a nice powerful lamp with a good focusing mechanism.

I have it myself. That's why I gave it away as a present afterwards. It is an excellent thing with variable light intensities and flashing light functions. In the strongest mode, the beam is even so strong that if you were to point it at a page of a paper magazine you couldn't even read that magazine because of the reflection of the light. switch button difficult to feel in darkness because of all the ridges around it. When switching off, the lamp first goes through all other modes and does not switch off immediately. in light beam, there is an annoying edge around it.
