1. Bogotá: the cultural heart of Colombia
Bogotá, Colombia's vibrant capital, is a city where history and mordernity go hand in hand. One of the absolute must-sees is the famous Gold Museum, which can be found in the middle of the city centre. Located in the middle of the city, this museum has the largest collection of pre-Colombian gold coins in the world. The museum has several rooms and gives you a good idea of the history and culture of Colombia's ancient civilisations.
But that's not all! In fact, Bogotá has more to offer than just museums. The district La Candelaria is a picturesque part of the city where you will find colourful colonial houses, narrow streets and impressive street art. You can wander around here for hours, looking for hidden art galleries, cosy cafés and small boutiques. Don't forget the Cerro de Monserrate to visit. From this mountain, you have an insane view of the city, especially at sunset!
2. Medellín: the city of eternal spring
Medellín, also known as the city of eternal spring because of its fine climate, has been revamped considerably in recent years! What was once one of the most dangerous cities in the world is now a vibrant city full of art, innovation and friendly locals. A visit to the district Comuna 13 is an experience you won't soon forget. This neighbourhood, once notorious for crime and as home to Pablo Escobar, is now a vibrant centre for street art. The colourful murals tell the neighbourhood's story and reflect the resilience of its residents.
Also, a cable car ride to Parque Arví highly recommended. This cable car not only offers spectacular views of the city and surrounding mountains, but also takes you to a beautiful nature reserve where you can hike, bike and picnic. Medellín is a city that shows you how creativity and perseverance can transform a city, and is therefore a destination not to be missed.

3. Zona Cafetera: the green heart of Colombia
The Zona Cafetera, or coffee triangle, is the green heart of Colombia and the perfect place for nature lovers and coffee enthusiasts. Characterised by rolling hills covered with coffee plantations, this area offers stunning scenery that must be seen. A visit to one of the many coffee farms in this region is therefore a must. Located on the Caribbean coast, Cartagena is a city full of colour, colonial buildings and old city walls. The mix of Spanish influences and Caribbean flair makes Cartagena a unique place.
