Looking for a unique location in Croatia? Then you're in the right place! During our road trip through Croatia we came across the Zrmanja Canyon viewpoint. This is one of those places that you don't easily come across in other online blogs, travel guides or on Instagram and perhaps that is precisely why it is so special. We didn't expect much from it at first but what a surprise this place is! The views are really impressive and you can easily combine this stop with other nearby attractions. As far as we are concerned, one of the hidden gems of our trip through Croatia.

Zrmanja Canyon Viewpoint
We don't want to repeat ourselves... But we recommend adding this spot to your round trip! This unique viewpoint is located right between two villages and you can easily get there by car or motorhome! Through apps like AllTrails you can find several hiking routes to the Zrmanja Canyon Viewpoint, but fair is fair: we parked the car a few minutes' walk from the viewpoint. In other words, this place really is accessible to everyone. Would you prefer a more active trip? Then, of course, you can also hike from the villages!
1. How to get to Zrmanja Canyon Viewpoint
Zrmanja Canyon is nice and central, making it easy to combine with other highlights! From Zadar it takes about 45 minutes to get there, from Tulove Grede it takes about 50 minutes and from Krka National Park it's an hour's drive. Besides, the route there is no punishment either as you drive through beautiful areas with fantastic views!
But how to get there? Simple! Type in “Pariževačka Glavica” on Google Maps or click on this link: Zrmanja Canyon Viewpoint on Google maps. You are directed to the small road that turns off the road ‘54’. The last 5 to 10 minutes you drive on dirt road with loose stones and a large rock here and there. We chose to park our motorhome at the beginning of this road. However, you can also drive on to the car park, as long as you drive slowly.
Do you also choose to park your car or motorhome at the beginning of this road? Then you're still about a 10-minute walk away.

2. What can you expect at Zrmanja Canyon Viewpoint?
The view is truly breathtaking, and the pictures in this blog probably say enough! We spent quite a while here, eating some good food and enjoying the view. So be sure to take some food with you!
You won't encounter many other people here. Maybe a little more than when we were there, but it remains a relatively unknown spot that you don't read much about. This is precisely why it is important to treat it nicely: take your rubbish with you, stay on the paths and leave everything the way you like it.
3. What is the best way to add Zrmanja Canyon Viewpoint to my roundtrip?
We stopped at the Zrmanja Canyon Viewpoint en route from Tulove Grede to the Krka National Park, really a top spot for a lunch break! Chances are both places are on your itinerary anyway, so it's easy to add this viewpoint to your daily schedule. This is exact location of Zrmanja Canyon Viewpoint on Google maps.
Tip: Don't have your own transport? Opt for renting a motorhome or a car! Keep in mind that you should always use a well-known rental company such as Sunnycars.co.uk, Wildcampers.co.uk or Camptoo.co.uk. Read more in our blog by motorhome through Europe.

Unique photography spot in Croatia
Actually quite logical but if you are a photographer, nature lover or adventurer then you definitely don't want to miss this place. Climb a little over the rocks and look out over the meandering Zrmanja river. Would you like to take a photo like the one below? Then you can climb to the protruding rock via a small path.
Tip: Be careful and at least have closed shoes on.
