It is also advisable to book your ticket online in advance, especially on weekends and public holidays, to avoid disappointment.

Although there is no direct train connection between Malacca and Kuala Lumpur, you can take the train from the nearest station, Batang Melaka, which is about 30 kilometres from Malacca. From there, you can take a train to Kuala Lumpur Sentral.
- Route: Malacca - Batang Melaka (by taxi or bus) - Kuala Lumpur Sentral (by train)
- Travel time: About 2 hours and 15 minutes for the train route, excluding the travel time to Batang Melaka.
- Price: From RM 30 (€6), excluding the cost of taxi or bus to Batang Melaka.

In our opinion, this option is especially suitable for travellers who want to stop somewhere else on the route.
